    Our mission

The Future Project is the world's first dream incubator for young people everywhere. We pair underserved high-school students with college/graduate students and young professionals in their communities and challenge them to turn their deepest passions into projects that change the world and inspire each other to unleash like they never have before.

    What we do

The Future Project is a new national education and service movement calling to action a generation that is more eager than ever to serve young people living in their own backyards. We pair students in urban public high schools with community members — college students, graduate students, and young professionals — and dare them to summon the energy and willpower to do whatever it takes to be a force for good for each other and for their world.

Over the year, they determine their passions and channel them to imagine and build Future Projects that in some way alter an inevitable future — and, ultimately, make a tangible impact on the world. In so doing, they transform into self-expressed leaders committed to the idea that anything is possible, and they bring their peers and families with them on the journey.

As students, called Future Fellows, and coaches, called Future Coaches, build the projects, we offer tools and supplemental support and coaching in making their projects both realistic and achievable. And as projects, from non-profits to community imagination concerts, from new anti-violence dance troupes to campaigns to improve public education, take off the ground, we feature these projects in public forums and at community events.

The Future Project is working with more than 500 young people across New York City, Washington, DC, and New Haven, CT, and for next year, we are evolving the model such that we can soon reach millions and enable their dreams, too, to come true.
